Beneteau 57

The Beneteau 57 (“B57”) was designed by Farr and styled by Beneteau Yachts.

It was launched in 2004 at St Giles de Croix in Brittany as hull #40 with deep 2.4 metre fin keel, a fully battened main, No1 Genoa, No 2 genoa and spinnaker.

The B57 is powered by a Yanmar 160 turbo charged diesel and fuel carried aboard in 3 tanks allows for a motoring range of 700 miles @ 5 knots. An ONAN 9.5 kVA generator delivers auxiliary power to the yacht’s services with European 2 pin plug AC outlets in all cabins. Strong Mediterranean sun delivers further power to 24 V DC solar panels, supporting refrigerator, freezer and cockpit fridge. The yacht generates its own fresh water at 60 litres / hour through its Duo60 watermaker, run from either AC or DC power.

Deck layout is centre cockpit, offset portside wheel and controls, 7/8 rig and retractable transom.

The aft deck allows for full deck usage and enough sunbathing space for 5 or 6 swimmers. Similar space is free on the foredeck.

Down below, the owner’s stateroom is situated aft with queensize bunk, ensuite, shower and toilet. The spacious saloon midships seats 6 to 8 at table with another 2 soft lounge seats to starboard. The galley is self-contained with stove, refrigeration, AC power, microwave and dishwasher. The owner’s stateroom aft and the main saloon are air-conditioned. There are two double cabins forward with their own ensuite toilets, sharing a shower in the bow section. Midships is a cabin with two single berths for crew (or children). Clothes washing machine and a fourth (electric) toilet and shower are also located midships.

The B57 is fully insured and complies with all relevant EU and international regulations.
